This Akira Capsule Jacket is an impersonation of the jacket that Kaneda wore in the 1988 Akira animated film. In the anime, Shotaro Kaneda leads his Bosozoku gang named Capsule against the rivals of Capsule, who are known as the Clowns. When Shikishima arrests Kaneda and his gang and interrogates them, Kaneda meets Kei, who helps Kaneda and his gang to escape. When they take Tetsuo back to the hospital, Kaneda finds Kei and joins her resistance. He then listens to their plan of releasing Tetsuo and the other Espers. When Tetsuo kills Yamagata, Kaneda swears to take revenge on the former. He then also fights Tetsuo in a duel with a laser rifle. When Kaneda again goes to fight a duel with Tetsuo, he loses his control and engulfs Kaneda. Later, along with Tetsuo, Akira then sends Kaneda to another dimension, where Kaneda experiences Tetsuo’s childhood. In the end, the Espers return Kaneda to his world with some information.
