The Hestra Gripen GS Mitt is designed for alpine ski racing and features extensive protection in the areas of the hand most exposed to impacts. Protection panels of the mitten are comprised of two layers for improved impact resistance, d3o material and a stiffer cell foam. D3o is a soft and elastic material that becomes rigid on impact. The knuckles and underside of the thumb are reinforced with abrasion-resistant fabric for improved durability. Waterproof treated goat leather is also super durable. Outseam construction ensures the best comfort and pole grip.
